Stock Market LIVE on Friday, May 31, 2024: Benchmark indices Sensex, Nifty held steady gains in Friday’s trading session, led by buying interest in Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and select bank shares. The S&P BSE Sensex was up 350 points at 74,230 levels. The NSE Nifty quoted near the 22,600 levels, up 110 points.
Among the Sensex stocks, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Titan and Larsen & Tourbo were the top gainers, while Kotak Bank, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and Axis Bank were the laggards. In the broader market, the BSE MidCap index was up 0.2 per cent, while the SmallCap index surged 0.8 per cent.
