The decision has been taken by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to standardise hours at the Riversley Park building year-round from April 2025.
There will be one last winter of reduced hours as follows:
Opening Hours from 4 November until 16 February 2025 are Saturday’s 10:30am until 4:00pm.
The following Fridays, 8 November, 15 November, 6 December, 3 January, 31 January, 7 February, the museum will open from 10:30am until 3.45pm.
From 17 February 2025 onwards, Thursdays 11am until 3.30pm and Fridays and Saturdays 10:30am until 4:00pm.
Then in the new financial year, because of investment by the Council, the new hours of Thursday to Saturday, 10:30 until 4:30pm, will start from 14 April and remain the same all year round.
Cllr Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities and Health, said:
“We are very pleased to support the museum in stabilising their opening hours throughout the year, starting from April next year.
“Enabling the museum to take on extra staff has meant they will be able to deliver their wonderful service to visitors year-round.
“The fixed opening times will ensure a reliable timetable, which will benefit both visitors and staff alike.”
There are several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building. As always, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed.
